The office has been rolling out broadband speed testing across Florida to better identify and reach unserved and underserved areas of the state. Holley told the News Journal in an email that there has also been outreach to bring on representatives in areas like tourism, health care, retail and residential development. So far, the team includes representatives of the county, the school district, the library system, Mediacom and AT&T. ![]() Simultaneously, Kyle Holley, the county's outreach and community liaison for grants and special projects, is working to help curate a local technology team with members from the public and private sectors as a means to create cohesion in improving internet service. Santa Rosa County staff are looking at next week to prompt all Santa Rosa County residents to take a broadband speed test, which could help underserved areas receive better internet service.
